Here's the before: see that beige-y-pinkish tile? me no likey.
This is the stuff you want. It worked like a charm. No sanding, no priming, just a little wipe down with a sponge, then dry and paint. It's oil based, so it stinks, but it goes on great.
I'm liking the progress, but now I REALLY need to get rid of that brass. I used the same paint on the brass surround, but the two stripes on the grates I used a high heat spray paint since I could take those outside (they come off). I roughed up the brass with some sandpaper real quick, and sprayed. It looks pretty good, I think I may do another coat eventually.
Seriously. I love the transformation. And it cost less than twenty bucks! (or free for you if you want to use some of my leftover paint!)
I really like the fact that the paint is not glossy, I think that would've cheapened how it looked. It's a nice satin finish.
What do you think? Looks pretty good, huh? Are you going to try it yourself? Dare I try painting the bathroom tile in my bedroom?
