Also, if you were here yesterday you know about my rodent drama. Well, it didn't end happily (yet). We woke up to new droppings, I almost had a nervous breakdown, and Chris got all McGyver-y. ANYway...We went to the Washington State History Museum this weekend, because it was yucky out and we wanted to do something as a family. For some reason Charlie had it in his head that we would see animals at the museum, and luckily, he was not disappointed!
Afterwards we crossed the street to Starbucks, of course. Because what's a Sunday morning without coffee and scones?
Then we headed back to the car. It was a good morning.

I am always amazed by taxidermy - those two look so real!
Love the photos! And it's too bad I'm not near you, because I am better mouse catcher than any trap or animal. I used to live in a farmhouse and at the end of harvest we would get inundated with field mice. My dog SUCKED at catching them, and our traps caught dust. But I caught five with my bare hands, and I just so happened to be 7 months pregnant!
Yep, I'm weird, I know. But it was SO.MUCH.FUN.

Scones!!! I think that is the first time I have ever heard such a wonderful creation mentioned on an American blog. My hubby is an American and I even had to point it out to him. I hope you enjoyed your scones.

We are having mice in our house too. I hate it. Love that second photo.
Your photos are wonderful. Have you set any traps yet for the pests? Good luck. We get mice every winter. We set up the traps and Bang! They are gone within a couple of weeks. Fortunately they stay down in the basement. Even so they are gross.
